todoyu 2.0 installation

Install todoyu 2.0 is easy and fun

Since the launch of the latest release candidate (RC2) of todoyu 2.0, I was introducing it to people familiar with open source and web development here in Japan. Always, they were positively surprised about how easy it is to install todoyu on a standard web server.

To demonstrate it also to you (and without the need of installing the software by yourself), I created this blog post. Let's start the installation walkthrough...

step 1: accept the open source (BSD) license

step 2: server checks successfull

step 3: connect to database

step 4: create a new database (or select one)

step 5: import tables and data

step 6: enter your system settings

step 7: enter your admin password

step 8: import sample data (to tryout)

step 9: installation was successful

go to login page, enter admin account

login successful, sample data installed

project tab view & time tracking is active

If you are interested to install todoyu 2.0 by yourself, you can download the software free of charge at todoyu.com.

Note:
These screens show the version todoyu 2.0 RC2 as of March 30, 2010. For the final release, the process and wording of the installation may still change slightly.
